Jarasporn Chumsri spent her childhood in Songkhla and continued her Bachelor’s degree studies in Fine Art at School of Architecture, Art, and Design, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.

Chumsri is a painter who is deeply passionate about the process and studio practice. To her, expressing through painting is a medium to visualize her thoughts and feelings into concrete objects. Jarasporn Chumsri, as an introverted person, feels very lucky to live in this digital age, where social interactions can be done online at an instant only by being in front of a screen. She also feels that social networking is very much ingrained in everyone’s lives including herself. This made an interesting subject for her paintings, and through art she wishes to portray the contemporary content and issues that are faced by everyone around the world.

Jarasporn Chumsri has exhibited locally and internationally, and has received grant opportunities from around the world. Until recently she was part of a charity auction THE GALLERY TURNS YEARS 5 (National Gallery Singapore, 2022). Selected exhibitions include Imspassionism, Brand New 2015 (Bangkok University Gallery, 2015); The 6th Young Artists Talent 2015 (Los Angeles, 2015); Solo Exhibition Projects for Emerging Artists (Bangkok University Gallery, 2017); Early Year Project 2 (BACC, 2017-18); Atmosphere in the Virtual museum + Experience + Emotion = Canvas Exhibition (The Jam Factory, 2021). In 2019, she was an artist in residence in the Republic of Korea at Limlip Art Museum, Gongju-si.

Currently Jarasporn Chumsri lives and works in Samutprakarn, Thailand.
