Pitchapa Wangprasertkul was born in 1999 in Bangkok. She graduated from the Faculty of Communication Art at Chulalongkorn University with Advertising Major and Psychology minor. She spent her childhood entering various drawing contests both in Thailand and abroad. As an adult, she spent even more time unlearning those values to develop her own style.

Wangprasertkul was first introduced to performance art at 19 years-old when she was selected as one of the facilitators for the Abramović Method exhibition at the 2018 Bangkok Art Biennale International Festival. From this experience, she observed the intense and emotional reactions from the audiences as they actively engaged with the performance. 

In 2020, Wangprasertkul showcased her performance art piece for the first time. Her presentations reflect on the power dynamic and its imbalance, which affects our thoughts and beliefs— those factors that ultimately form our separate characters. With each performance, Wangprasertkul simulates a scene where she enables the audiences to empower themselves while depleting her own authority. These deliberate acts ultimately compel the audience to engage and respond to her art.

Beyond gallery exhibitions, Wangprasertkul often performs in the area of conflicts or power clashes, primarily in Thailand. Her past works include: Be a Good Girl ( Kinjai Contemporary, 2022 ), Hello Stranger (​Turner Gallery, Tokyo, 2021), Breath, Breathing, Breathe (Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, 2020), King of the Playground (Bridge. Art Space, 2020). Currently, Pitchapa works and lives with her cat in Bangkok.
