The third edition of the city-wide art festival will feature a huge line-up of art exhibitions and activities.
The Bangkok Art Biennale (BAB) is launching its 2022 edition this October and will run for four months. From 22 October 2022 to 23 February 2023, art enthusiasts can see inspiring contemporary art created by both local and international artists in several venues across the city.
For its third run in the Thai capital, the festival is featuring works by over 40 artists, who each worked with the theme “CALM:CHAOS”. It is meant to remind us that there is a glimmer of hope in the midst of the pandemic, as well as other crises, be it climate change, environmental destruction, politics and ideological clashes.
BAB 2022 will take place in 11 participating venues across the city, namely Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC), Samyan Mitrtown, Museum Siam, JWD Art Space, Queen Sirikit National Convention Center, The PARQ, The Prelude One Bangkok, Wat Arun, Wat Phra Chetuphon (Wat Pho), Wat Prayoon, and BAB Virtual Space.
